  • Green tea

while I'm asking my food questions, does anyone else drink green tea? If you do, where do you purchase it? I like it, but it's very expensive at my local store. Is there any outlet where it is sold at a discount?

I drink enough green tea that last year I purchased three tiny tea camellia shrubs. I'm supposed to be one agricultural zone colder than tea can survive, but I have a couple tricks up my sleeve. Until they grow large enough to harvest I'll continue to buy fair trade, organic, jasmine-scented, green tea. I buy two pound bags and seal them up tight. It lasts a long time, especially as I drink my tea more dilute than most Americans seem to.

I buy the flavored Bigelow brand when it goes on sale, or on-line in bulk is usually cheaper. I love the Wild Blueberry and Acai flavor - it doesn't need any sugar or anything its so good (then again I don't put sugar in anything).

I love green and white tea. They are both great but getting expensive. I have never seen coupons advertised for them. As beer seems to be more popular.
But I think that sometimes stores put this tea on sale. Just go to different stores and check it out!

I buy it from the dollar store, 100 bags for $1. Right now I have a large stash of Bigalow that I'm using, swiped from my last cruise ship vacation

Has anyone ever seen green tea that's almost fluorescent green, I had it in Thailand , they drink it with sugar and milk and it has a very deep green tea flavor that has a strong after taste. I'm drinking a cup at home right now and it looks like regular black tea, I'm wondering what they do to make it so green and strong flavored

97guns, that was the first type of green tea I ever had, and it made a lasting impression considering that the tea was served to my fourth grade geography class in 1968! I was nine years old! We were told it was a Japanese tea. I've never had any like it since.

I mostly prefer green tea only since its healthy. I usually buy green tea from a friend. He travels a lot so whenever he domes back he always brings some green tea from any country. They are good though. Otherwise I but it from a local store...but it happen very rarely.
