Exactly what I said. USSS Director Kimberly Cheato once was interviewed saying more diversity was needed in the department. Irrelevant are qualifications, merit and experience. Houston we have a problem.

You can't stop a bad person from doing something if they really want to.

This building was like 150 yards away. I'm pretty sure even I could have made that shot. We are extremely lucky Trump is alive today. With a direct line of site someone should have been on it.

I've seen several articles about how the Secret Service has been pushing hiring people for purposes other than skill and ability. At the point you quit hiring the best of the best and are just looking to fill a quota, what do you expect will happen?

It's a drip drip drip, then the dam breaks all at once.

One wonders why former president Trump would choose so many outdoor venues for his rallies, including in Southwest Arizona, in sweltering heat, where attendees were passing out due to heat exhaustion. Or fairgrounds in Pennsylvania, where the land is adjoined by a warehouse facility. Also in the dead of summer. An indoor venue might offer greatly increased levels of security. Also, air conditioning. I wonder why that is?

I also wonder where Trump was yesterday, or where he is today. I mean, if someone died at one of my rallies, shielding his own family members from gunfire intended for me, I might at least want to pay the survivors my respects. No? Golfing sounds more fun?

I took the opportunity to blast Pearl Jam's "Wreckage" yesterday while on a drive because that's exactly where we are as a country. It's worth reading the interview with Eddie Vedder on the origins of the song.
        History will judge the complicit.

I’m going to go ahead and close this conversation before it goes any farther off the rails.
