I think it always good idea to reuse the clothes and accessories that are sitting inside the closet collecting dust.

The ways I uses to reuse the clothes are

1)Restyle it: Accessories the clothes so that it looks different,such as adding belt and jewelry.

2)Sell it: Sell it using various means such as ebay,platos closet,myclozet etc

3)Swap it: Swap the item with your friends or family.

4) Give it: Give it to your friends or family.

5)Donate it: Otherwise you can donate it.

If it's in really poor condition you can also cut it up and use it for rags in the garage to wash the car, etc... better than just trashing it.

buy second hand clothes, charity shops sell almost brand new clothes, in fact a mate i was working with got a £250 pair of jeans for less than £5 O_o

If you want to save money for your clothing expenses and still look fashionable. Keep in mind that brand names do not always mean quality clothing. It is far better to look for quality first instead of the name. Buy quality items that you can do more than just buying something for the name.

My Father often told me that the cheapest items are not worth the price because you get poor quality, so the item doesn't last as long as you need it to. Buying the highest price item makes no sense because you are paying more for the name than for the quality. Get something in the mid-price range and look at how it was made. Look for the item to be on sale. Take care of it. Thats how he got decent cars and suits and a grill, and they lasted a long time.

We buy *almost* everything used.

My husband wears Docker's pants to work. He was in need of a few more pair recently. Docker's had a deal for Father's Day running....$33 per pair plus about $10 in tax and $10 in shipping, making 3 pair a total cost of $120. Still not a good deal, but he needed them.

I just happened to find 3 pairs of almost new Docker's in the colors he likes in his exact size at a yard sale for $3 each. One pair hadn't even been worn, the other two looked like they had only been washed once or twice as the tags were still firm.
So, I saved $111 by yard sale-ing!

I buy pretty much 100% of my kids' clothing second hand.

also I wouldn't swap clothes with my friends... the only clothes I can swap is my baby's clothes... babies grow so fast so my moms are happy to receive several shirts or pants for free ))

I do spend money on good-quality clothing. However, it's frugal for me because the number of items I have is small (I'd rather have a few clothes that fit me really well instead of a lot that don't) and the style is very basic in only earth tones. That way, the collars and style never looks faddish, and I change my daily appearance with different jewelry and scarves.

It is not necessary to buy 'branded' clothes. As long as you are comfortable then it will be fine! Thus,if you have so many clothes in your closet,then you can do those things that the 1st post stated!

I,myself give my 'extra' clothes to my sisters,relatives,friends or even donate them. And those I think cannot be wear,I made into rags!
