Hi, I am starting a nonprofit organization as a memorial to my daughter who passed away. It will not be large. I am estimating $10,000 or less a year in donations and proceeds. Here is what I want the memorial to be:
The theme will be kindness which is the legacy of my giving and unselfish daughter.
Raise funds through online donations from the public. Raise funds through mailed donations. Raise funds by holding small various events.
Award graduating high school students between $1000 and $2000 that are going to college. They need to demonstrate acts of kindness through community service, helping the general public, helping other students. They will need to write an essay and submit two reference letters.
Give out toys and games to children who are in the hospital
Buy presents for underprivileged children during the holiday season via the local schools giving programs
Perform random acts of kindness and spreading kindness as my daughter's legacy via $10.00 gift cards to strangers from companies such as Starbucks and Justice Clothes stores and an area convenience chain called WAWA.
Does anyone have a suggestion for the appropriate NTEE code to use since these seem to fall under various categories?
