Yesterday I made another call to the DMV to ask about my license. Finally, I talked to someone who actually got up from his chair and went to look for the medical report that is supposedly under review. Guess what? It couldn't be found. Surprise, surprise. TV has advertised these great "bargains" as far as groceries for Thanksgiving dinner. However, there are certain things I'm picky on, so my price is more than what they are advertising.
But I play what I call the "Grocery Game" throughout the year. I check digital deals and then also check Ibotta to see if I can get a good deal. I use three other receipt apps too. My husband teases me about being frugal, but he has told me repeatedly how proud he is of me to save money.

Here’s what I’ve been up to this week. 
 
I received an unexpected bonus so I was able to throw a little extra at my student loan, once the payment hit, I would be below $25k owed and meeting my goal of paying at least $5k this year towards it. This interest is killing me though.

So we have three cars.  In less than one month I've replaced tires on all three cars.  OMG.  The Tesla DH had an accident and we had to replace two rims and 4 tires.  Cost?  $4k.  Insurance will cover it since it wasn't his fault but we had to pay out of pocket because it was easier to do it at tesla than anywhere else.  And then the other guy's insurance is going to pay.  This happened in mid october.  UGH.

Reduced my internet and cable bill by $50. 
 
I initially cancelled my cable years ago; however, when I switched internet provider there was a special for limited cable. Well that special ended and my monthly bill went to $180 ridiculous. 
 
 Yesterday while calling for my mom, I decided to reduce my bill and had the rep to remove the limited cable service. My new internet bill is $129. My company reimburses me.

Remember Red Box?  Those vending machines you see in grocery stores and side of gas stations that let you rent movies and games for cheap?  Apparently, they were bought out by another company a while back, and that new company has declared bankruptcy.
Oh but there's more!  Due to the bankruptcy, these Red Box kiosks are largely abandoned now, leaving it wide open for some people to break open and plunder its contents.  Wild.

Have paid off another smaller debt paid off we are down to 2 CC which total around $7,500 so should be paid off by march next year could do it sooner but working on adding to my ice account as it was completely depleted from the move from hell and the week after....so will be debt free next year...we will close one and keep the other "just in case" until I get a substantial amount in our bank account!!

I followed up on the unclaimed property and even found a new one to claim! We lived in many states and I forgot to look at one of them the last time I did this. They all want an obitituary or heir list. I never had to go through probate because I was the beneficiary on everything so I don't have any official court records stating I am her sole heir. Two Fridays ago my mom ended up in the hospital (after going to the ER Thursday night).  I briefly considered carpooling with MH (who was taking the train to his SF lunch) but decided to try to get caught up at work.  & I got a really good night sleep on Thursday.  All of this was wise.

I have never felt the need to enroll in EZ Pass for NY-area bridges or toll roads because my travels into New Jersey, New York or points west are fairly infrequent.
However, I did make 2 trips to PA in the past 2 months, plus a trip to Jersey, so I knew to expect mailed bills for the Tappan Zee Bridge toll. I finally got the paper bill yesterday, and they were charging me a late fee for not paying an earlier bill that I never received.
