I know I already posted today, but I am having thoughts. They keep making a big deal about people not being able to make rent next month. And what I am wondering is if there is going to be any kind of financial changes in people's lives on the other side of this. There are so many people who have been irresponsible with money for their entire lives. Well for us anyways...one of my nieces baby is due in next 9 days...she is excited (its her 5th) but also scared due to the virus...I have another niece that is due in june and another that just found out she is pregnant and due in early october...we have such a big family and it grows every year and I love that...my mom has

DH was just told that they will only be working 32 hours a week for the next two weeks. Its because they are waiting on another section of the project to be finished before they can proceed forward with theirs. They also have decided to stop matching in the 401K, but hope to be able to catch that up at the end of the year if things are better. The 32 hours will not affect qualifications for medical benefits.

In addition to the stimulus check, I have heard that my secretary job is most likely going to to pay me my average hours for April and May!

That would be great, especially since husband's overtime is drying up and without it we can't really make extra payments on anything.

I look forward to the day when our debt is gone and we can live comfortably without overtime or 3 jobs.

If the stimulus and my check from work pan out I am hoping I will be able to pay off the construction...

It was 80 degrees yesterday! But not today. And strong storms rolled through last night. I will need to go check my car to see if there was any hail damage.

I opened windows during the day but did not go outside. I didn't see a lot of people walking around other than the dog walkers, so I think people were pretty compliant. Police did have to break up a soccer game in north Chicago. ????? Stay home -- save lives.

I've been getting so bored with my food. It's mostly because I don't feel like putting the effort in. We've been eating a rotation of about 4 different meals and I really need to snap out of this and get some variety back into our diets. So we got our stimulus payment in today (aust) so we put half in to the medical which will pay for hubbys treatments and the other half paid off the cc...so it has taken those 2 payments out of our budget so we can add more to the ice account this month..so feeling good!!

I have been busy trying to find my mom another house to rent..hard during this time with virus but they set up appts and do 1;1 viewings.

I have not posted since the end of December, when I restarted my blog. That sounds about right, though, I have been on the go since then. Until about 3 weeks ago when our routine life came to a screeching halt.

I downloaded Allstate's app and set myself up for the payback they are offering. Not sure how much it will be -- I am not even sure if I will get it, as I am not a monthly payer, and the program seems to be organized around monthly payments. But I went through the motions anyway. I am thankful that careful budgeting...and yes we have a ways to go..but with good budgeting we are able to pay all our bills, our rent, we have enough food etc...during this time of people losing their jobs...or having the uncertainty of what the future holds...I am hoping that people learn from this and start having somewhat of a stockpile of food for at least a month or so and that they start an emergency fund so if this ever happens again it won't be so bad for so many people...I...

I know that most people need to stay at home except for essential services...but what are some of the positives and do you think that you will continue them when life gets "back to normal"

Things like takeaway, are you saving money by not eating out,I know gas is a hard one you are saving by not driving but that will change when you go back to work etc...more family time...just things like that

Yesterday was a pretty calm day. I read, watched an episode of Broadchurch, worked on my puzzle, filed and shredded papers, did a load of laundry, and communicated electronically with friends and family. I wore my new mask when I went to the laundry room, but I didn't see anyone, so I guess it was just a rehearsal.

A senior cousin of mine who works in a nursing home has been diagnosed, with the COVID-19 virus. Pray fully she’ll get through this. This virus is a scary thing, and has started to hit home.

I needed a few items from the grocery store, I was running low. Just to go in and see the store marked up with tape, so that people keep a safe distance is scary.
