The closing for the SC land sale occurred at the end of last week. UPS delivered a check with my proceeds this morning and within an hour I deposited it into my account with mobile banking and paid the 0% interest credit card in full online. Done!! Now we only have house debt.

We're almost halfway through the month so I thought I'd post a quick update.
Our federal tax refund arrived on Wednesday. $518, so not a huge amount but I'll take it. Our state refund is bigger - $3,000 - but that always takes longer.
We aren't eligible for stimulus money but our daughter is, so that's nice for her. She is also due federal and state refunds. She filed last week so should have that money soon.

Our income tax refund of $809 was deposited into our account on Wednesday and I just checked and our stimulus payment is pending for next Wednesday.  We got the full amount for us and our dependents of $5600.  That's $6409 to work with.  This is what I am planning.

I returned to my old standby, buying only ten items at the grocery store.  Makes me focus, keeps the bill down, and ten items are manageable to carry up three flights of stairs.  I spent $28.  Biscuists, crescent rolls, shredded cheese, a bath poof, baby carrots, strawberries, raspberries, apples, baked beans and bread.
I ordered a frame from Amazon.  With cash back discount, it was only $8.

I thought I would be out of debt approximately 1 month from now.  However, I don't think it is going to work out quite that way.
I went to bed Monday evening and woke up about 1am Tuesday morning, having trouble getting a breath.  I got out of bed, used my inhaler, sat in a chair so I was upright, and waited.  Around 4am, I was still having trouble, so decided I would go to urgent care.  They ended up admitting me to the hospital; I was discharged yesterday.

I started replacing some things before they failed several years ago. Like water heaters and car batteries. The kind of things that will certainly fail at a time that’s inconvenient and possibly risky. It may be a little more expensive to replace an item prematurely but that beats being inconvenienced when it eventually fails.

Yesterday I went shopping, cooked for dinner and bought 2 pizzas for the kids and friends from costco.  Costco Pizza was $21.93 for 2 whole pizzas.  I froze more than a pizza but I also thought the kids would eat more.  I also grocery shopped and spent $46.43.

So we still have no house and I am now couch surfing between 2 houses which sucks and me and my hubby are living in seperate houses...it sucks but we have done everything we can and one of our landlords just won't answer and so we don't get a house..so frustrating but we will keep trying to we get a house.
Other than that not much else is going on in our lives...just appointments, house opens and applying for houses that about it!!

Do you know what you spend on subscriptions either monthly or annually?  I have a lot of payments recently including our auto insurance every 6 months and annual Amazon prime.  When covid started my mom really wanted amazon prime again we'd been without for like 2 or 3 years and so I bought it and added her on.  
So we now pay Amazon $119 annually for prime = $10/month

One day this past week was ‘Colleague Appreciation Day’. I’m not sure if that’s a thing or if it’s just something that’s created and celebrated at my company. We each received an e-mail with an electronic coupon for a free Starbucks drink. How nice that it’s everywhere – I got a free fancy coffee at a Starbuck’s with a drive-thru between the hospital and our temporary home.

We are waiting on the closing date for the sale of the previous primary residence.  It cannot get here fast enough.  I'm expecting within two weeks.  I'm anxious to start a budget for April -- the first time without the mortgage monkey on our backs sucking our funds and energy.
